Green Cottage Design - Plant a Tree Initiative

Tree PlantingGreen Cottage Design are reinforcing their green ethos by planting and dedicating indigenous, organically grown tree saplings to every new website they design as part of their company environmental policy.

As a member of the Sustainable Tourism Business Network for the Forest of Bowland, itself an area of outstanding natural beauty, we wanted to give something back to the local community and help to reinvest in the natural environment at the same time. Many trees in the area around Sabden and Pendle Hill were chopped down and used for the war effort in World War II. Our first trees will be planted on Remembrance Day 2009 in memory of the region’s people who gave their lives to this country.

Green Cottage Design would like to thank local farmer Bobby Gill of Cockshotts Farm, Sabden was only too pleased to offer the planting site on Pendle Hill in support of this very worthy initiative.
